Bio:
Marc is a young artist born in 1986 in Montreal, Canada. Currently working for Blizzard Entertainment, he does concept art and NextGen 3D modeling/texturing for Blizzard’s new MMORPG, and could not be happier with his job. He enjoys drums, piano and can hardly spend more than an hour without his iPod. It should also be mentioned that he is a party animal, beware!
Artwork Details:
Impossible Love started as a simple line drawing sketch in my sketchbook. I kind of fell in love with the whole concept and the sketch got scanned and colored in Photoshop to give it some life. The first version was really cartoony in terms of coloring and shading. I just applied flat colors and colored it as I would for a comic book. The piece then evolved gradually towards a more realistic finish and a much higher level of polish as I went over it multiple times, to finally get this result.
Wacom Comments:
My whole world as an artist pretty much flipped when I discovered Wacom tablets when I was a teenager. Up until then I had been using my mouse to paint so it was a most needed improvement. My first tablet was an Intuos 2 and it helped me develop my art much, much further. Since then I’ve worked with practically every Wacom tablet available and finally settled on the Cintiq, both at work and for personal use, since it allows me to push my art to an exceptional level of quality and precision. There are no pieces of hardware available that come even close to the solid, reliable and ergonomic Wacom tablets.
